IT Support Engineer - this position is not remote, it is on-site in New Era, MI
The IT Support Engineer is a tier 2 position part of our internal help desk, primarily responsible for assisting or directly resolving tier 1 escalations and assisting the Infrastructure team as needed.
This position is targeted towards individuals who are very self-motivated and have an unwavering commitment towards independent technological learning and end-user satisfaction.
On-the-job training is provided for our pharmacy-specific software.
Job expectations:
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Learn new skills and technologies as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of information accessed (PHI, HIPAA, etc.
).
Participate in on-call rotation.
Occasional travel to our approximately 40 sites.
Proper use of company property (i.
e.
, vehicles, computers, phones).
Be on time and flexible to changing demands inherent in IT.
Establish effective working relationships with teammates and vendors.
Proper handling of remote and onsite support of service requests through HaloITSM, our ticketing system.
Effective verbal and written communication with teammates and end-users through various channels (tickets, Teams, Phone, in-person, etc.
)
End-user support relating to technical issues involving both core Microsoft apps and more advanced tools such as Intune, AzureAD, SharePoint, PowerAutomate, and more.
Hardware and software troubleshooting/support.
Understanding of key networking and server concepts.
Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications and respond accordingly.
Transport, lift, and deliver up to 50 lbs.
Required experience:
4 years professional IT experience in a corporate help desk.
Experience troubleshooting hardware/software issues and network/server issues.
Knowledge of networking (WAN and LAN connectivity, switching, firewalls, routing, VPN)
Experience performing administrative functions in Microsoft 365, and/or Intune and Azure AD.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred experience in:
Cisco/Meraki
IPMI/ILO/iDrac
Storage systems
Windows and Linux CLI
Additional Requirements:
High-school diploma.
Valid Driver’s License.
On-site at our new corporate office in New Era, MI (except travel days or on-call).
This is not a remote job.
