*SUMMARY:* The position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and leadership of Project FOCUS (For Our Children’s Ultimate Success) Out-of-School Time programs.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* include the following, although other tasks and duties may be assigned:
* Be thoroughly familiar with the approved grant contract with MDE.
* Assist with implementation of program goals and objectives as established in the grant.
* Assist Site Coordinator with daily programming and administration of the grant.
* Facilitate communication and establish relationships with teachers, principals, parents, and students in the program.
* Assist in the management of recruitment and retention of students.
* Assist with planning and conducting parent and family service events.
* Assist with monitoring program materials, equipment, and purchases needed to implement Project FOCUS activities.
* Collaborate with other Site Coordinators, Assistants and staff regarding programming and implementation.
* Work closely with Site Coordinator to assess the program and staffing needs, including human resource issues.
* Assist in maintaining all staff and student attendance and reenrollment records and insure that all records are up to date in the statewide evaluation system (EZ Reports and YPQA).
* Be knowledgeable of security plans and active involvement in emergency procedures, crisis prevention plans, and student disciplinary policies.
* Utilize appropriate technology including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Publisher, etc.
* Attend all mandatory meetings, conferences and trainings.
* Travel to various sites to assist with programming as assigned.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
*SUPERVISORY REPONSIBILITIES:* This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
*SCHEDULE: *This position is 12-18 hours per week as determined by Program Director, 32 weeks during the school year and 24 hours per week for 6 weeks in the summer.
*EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:*
* Must be 18 years or older
* High school diploma, experience in child development, education or teaching
* Associates Degree preferred
* Good organizational skills and initiative
* Experience working with children and/or after-school programs
* Ability to implement quality, age appropriate programs
* Must meet minimum requirements for licensing as defined in the Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers, December 2014.
