Position: Dock associate Reports to: Shift supervisor and Plant manager Revised: Nov.
2022 Job Summary: Attention to detail and quality will be necessary for the successful applicant.
Knowing and understanding the machines associated with the dock room will be critical for efficiency in operations.
Knowledge and understanding of the daily process order and run sequence associated with material requirements (Bottles, Bags, caps) will aid in efficiency and coordinating handling requirements.
This employee will be responsible for the packaging and loading of milk and specialty products and for the accurate recording, loading of trucks, and efficient movement of product.
Knowledge and execution of sanitation procedures and PPE will be another function for this employee.
This is a very fast paced environment.
Employee will need to have some computer skills, good math skills, and be able to work as a team.
Forklift experience is preferred.
Hours do vary with production needs, but are generally 5pm-5am Monday-Thursday.

Essential Functions: Produce a consistent and quality product in relation to the daily process order within the required company guidelines.
Supply supervision and instruction to assisting team members.
Set up production line to allow for consistent and quality product production.
Communicate sequence of production and associated pasteurized tanks to be used.
Monitor production quality as to bottle supply, coding, filling, capping/ induction seal, and crating to ensure conformance to printed standards.
Document required information to aid in quality, quantity, and trackability requirements in an accurate and legible manner.
Communicate poor quality issues immediate with Supervisor / Quality Coordinator and make appropriate adjustments to ensure quality product.
Maintain a neat and organized work area.
Follow and manage the proper use of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) within the filling area.
Repair minor and repetitive adjustments to production equipment in a timely manner to allow for production efficiencies.
Communicate preventative machine repairs to Supervisor and or Maintenance staff to reduce down time.
Complete work orders as needed.
Coordinate staff and handling of materials into the filler room to minimize the introduction of external potential contaminates.
Clean and store all equipment to meet SSOP requirements.
Objectives: Create a positive work environment through quality performance and communication as well as expressing the needs of customer and company.
Exhibit professionalism in all performance aspects.
Initiatives must be directed towards a cooperative and team approach to production and problem solving.
Continue to advance in both physical and mechanical knowledge of operations to improve on efficiencies.
Continue to challenge personal skills and abilities to enhance production and supervisory abilities daily.
Identify and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Report and take action with out of specification items.
Identify loss points and pursue solutions.
