Position Summary
Clean and sanitize equipment and plant following company sanitation guidelines.
Operate a forklift to move and replace items in area being cleaned.
Operate steam/hot water system as well as chemical hoses ensuring proper ratio of chemicals to water.
Must be able to meet the minimum requirements of a Processing employee, wear appropriate PPE and follow company safety policies and procedures.
Essential Functions
Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment
Use proper Lock-out / Tag-out procedures
Maintain and operate forklift safely at all times
Complete daily forklift inspection
Properly use steam / hot water system
Properly use product and material-handling pumps
Read and understand the English language
Tote and barrel dumping
Dipping cherries from totes
Pumping processing and brine tanks
Other tasks as assigned
Competencies and Certifications Required
Internal GMP/HACCP/SQF Training
Good communication skills
Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
Must pass respiratory fitness test
OSHA Forklift license
