Position Summary:
Prepare detailed working diagrams of products, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information.
Draws designs on CAD software and creates Bills of Material.
Maintain cad library an perform ECN changes under Design Engineer supervision.
Essential Responsibilities:
Create detailed 3d models and drawings using SolidWorks.
Create detailed 2d submittal drawings for our customers using 2D software
Collaborate with design engineers to develop accurate and precise technical drawings.
Incorporate design changes and updates into existing drawings.
Assist in the preparation of design specifications and technical reports.
Maintain organized files and records of all drawings and related documentation.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1-3 years design, CAD, and detailing experience required.
Proficient in SolidWorks, especially in sheet metal design.
Experience with 2D software – AutoCAD or DrafSight.
3-5 years design, CAD, and detailing experience required.
Good written communication skills are required.
Ability to work in a team environment is required.
Ability to take direction and learn through coaching and mentoring.
Critical Thinking, problem solving and good decision making.
Training and Educational Requirements:
Associate degree in mechanical design or similar; or equivalent job experience.
