*Position Overview:*
The Operations Manager serves as a leader at the Love in Action Donation Processing Center.
This individual will work closely with the Operations Director to oversee the purchasing and procurement of material goods; food procurement; sorting of donated materials; management of the warehouse; coordinating volunteers and general logistics.
This position serves donors, clients, volunteers and staff.
This individual will demonstrate a love for Christ exemplified by grace, flexibility and compassion for others.
They will seek, train and encourage volunteers.
They will express thankfulness and be informative to donors.
Further, they will demonstrate good listening skills, patience, understanding and discernment at all times.
*Essential Duties:*
Purchasing and Procurement of Material Goods:
* Oversee purchasing and distribution of goods and supplies for all LIA departments
* Develop, implement and maintain processes as required
* Research and maintain records of suppliers with consideration of costs and timelines
* Maintain good records of purchases and distribution of goods
Donation Processing and Warehouse Management
* Understand and standardize procedures for processing of in-kind donations in coordination with the LIA stores, ensuring all donations are well stewarded
* Recruit, train and lead volunteers to accomplish effective donation processing
* Schedule and oversee workflow
* Oversee scheduling and transportation to procure incoming donations and delivery of inventory to LIA stores, as well as deliveries for the stores
* Oversee goods for wraparound ministries of LIA
* Oversee accessibility of furniture
* Oversee quality of goods for LIA stores
* Oversee efficient storage and maintenance of the warehouse
Food Procurement
* Work with area food sources, as directed
* Work with Operations Director to obtain and purchase food
* Oversee food transportation, as required
* Assist with distribution of food to church pantry partners
* Recruit, train and lead volunteers for transporting, stocking and maintaining central food pantry
Volunteer Support
* Responsible for recruitment, training, oversight and encouragement of all Donation Processing Center volunteers, including warehouse, Central Pantry and front desk
Logistics
* Organize and monitor the storage and distribution of goods with a goal to enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of LIA ministries and in-kind goods sources

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
*Education:*
High School Diploma; some college preferred
*Hours and Compensation:*
Full time, 40 hours per week, generally 9 am to 5 pm; may include some weekends and evenings
