Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Supervisor--1st Shift
Report To: Warehouse Manager
Status: Non-exempt
Schedule: 6am-2pm, Monday-Friday
*GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: *
The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible for preparing shipments, wrapping pallets, managing order pick slips and warehouse organization.
2 Direct Reports, Coordination with 1 operator on 2nd shift
*CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
· Maintain a safe work environment
· Follow all quality control standards
· Regular forklift operation
· Inspect and enter incoming deliveries in ERP System
· Maintain ERP Inventory Accuracy
· Familiarity with barcoding systems preferred
· Follow packaging specifications and ensure that goods are appropriately labelled, wrapped and prepared for shipment
· Contribute to culture of continuous improvement
o Ability to identify waste and streamline processes
o Work across departments to implement changes
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
Three or more years of warehouse experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Basic math skills are required – addition/subtraction.
Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
\*\*Forklift experience is required.
\*\*Commercial License is preferred.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*
Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner with team members and management.
Ability to use basic computer software including email.
Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance at facility.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Sit or stand for extended time periods.
Able to climb and descend stairs numerous times in a shift.
Normal range of tolerance to household and other types of typical industrial/ construction chemicals and solvents.
The employee is required to sit, climb, balance, carry, push, pull, reach, and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges.
Read at, above, and below shoulder height.
Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment.
Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment.
Tolerate in climate weather, including excessive heat and cold.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT:*
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, chemicals and/or airborne particles, high pressure fluids, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
