*Duties/Responsibilities:*
· Greeting members as they arrive and gauging their seating needs
· Provide knowledgeable and professional food and beverage service to members
· General Preparedness: knowing menus, beverages, personal needs of members, as well as anticipating of member needs
· Displaying a level of responsibility, trustworthiness, and collaboration
· Contribute as a team member while adhering to SLCC Service Standards
· Maintain side work associated for Dining Room and a safe and sanitary environment
· Promote an excellent work environment by following the SLCC Standards of Excellence
· Work to support the Staff Promise and goals of SLCC in every day operations
· Maintaining shift checklists/accountability
· Monitoring staff behavior/language/appearance
· Monitoring consistency and quality of service to ensure excellent member experiences
· Provide feedback on new staff training
· Daily billing for member dining and functions
· Maintain an open line of communication between staff and management
· Relay member comments/concerns to management as needed
· Preparing the dining area, laying and decorating tables and making sure that all flatware and glasses are clean and correctly positioned
· Bringing menus, listing and describing specials, making recommendations and taking orders
· Serving food to high standards by ensuring that all dishes are presented correctly and in a timely manner
· Checking on diners during their meal to ascertain their satisfaction levels
· Knowledge about wine and beverage pairings
· Training and coaching of other servers on elevated skills and proper serving experience processes.
· Support the management team in any other related delegated tasks, including month inventory.
· Directly follows and adheres to all policies in the employee handbook.
*Required Skills/Abilities: *
· Prior experience with formal development and training of others.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
· Proven track record of delivering exceptional service
· Strong communications skills and work ethic.
· Familiarity with food handling, serving, bar service and safety regulations in a fine dining environment.
· Ability to present a positive attitude and professional appearance while working quickly and efficiently to ensure our member’s and guest’s experience is great!
· Willing to be flexible and offer assistance to co-workers and members as needed.
· Experienced with computer point of sales systems and able to learn new register software used by a bar or private club.
*Education and Experience:*
* 18 years of age or older
* High school graduate or equivalent, or in pursuit of a high school degree
· At least 2-3 years of related experience in a high-end restaurant and/or club preferred.
*Physical Requirements: *
· Prolonged periods standing and serving guests.
· Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
· Must be able to lift and move 20-50 pounds.
