Worship Director

The purpose of the worship director is to lead a growing number of people into a life-changing experience of God’s glorious presence through all aspects of worship: singing, instruments, prayer, the Word, and the use of the arts.
This will happen through: * Leading others by your own worship of God * Paying attention to the leading of the Holy Spirit * Welcoming new musicians and vocalists * Developing musicians and vocalists into leaders according to their gifts *Job Description* * Selecting music for worship service in accordance with Scripture.
* Assembling our volunteers into teams of musicians and vocalists to lead worship.
* Coordinate efforts with the adult choir.
* Lead a weekly practice with our volunteers.
* Oversee all equipment relative to worship, highlighting when equipment needs to be repaired or replaced.
* Keep the sound room organized.
* Ensure PowerPoint material for Sunday worship is provided to the church secretary.
* Oversee volunteers, training, and staffing in the audio/visual booth.
* Interact with the rest of the staff as needed.
* Be willing to provide worship for special events.

VBS, community outreach events, holiday’s) * Meet with lead pastor weekly to make short and long-term plans.
Part-time position for 10 hours a week at $20 an hour.

Line of accountability: The Worship Director is accountable to the Leadership Team and the Lead Pastor.
