*Team Leader- Shipping & Receiving*
*Purpose of the job*
Give direction to team members for daily tasks that need to be completed, support department and company initiatives, and support production departments needs throughout the shift.
Essential Job Responsibilities
*5S + Safety*:
Responsible for creating a safe work environment for all team members.
This includes communicating expectations for safe behavior, proper PPE, and work instructions.
Will conduct accident investigations within 24 hours and complete relevant documentation.
Ensure all equipment is safe and functional.
Ensure weekly 5-S audits are completed and engage team members in continuous improvement activities.
*Quality: *
Ensure team members have the proper training and tools to perform all job responsibilities safely, accurately, and within the expected cycle time.
Investigate non-conformances and contain problems quickly.
Identify root cause(s) and implement corrective and/or preventive actions.
*Delivery:*
Ensure material moves are completed to ensure uninterrupted production.
*Inventory:*
Ensure materials are moved and stored without damage.
Support efforts to reduce inventory and improve material velocity.
Support efforts to improve material storage methods making it easy for team members to find and safely handle materials.
*Productivity:*
Continuously improve material handling processes and methods.
Reduce the reliance of forklifts and large lot sizes.
*Workforce:*
Communication: Conduct daily team hurdles to ensure communication between shifts is completed and daily objectives are met.
Work with the team leaders on other shifts.
Bring forward any employee and performance issues to Group Lead and Manager for further coaching when needed.
Perform other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
*Essential Qualifications*
· Licensed operator of powered conveyance equipment or willing to be licensed
· Valid Driver License
· Self-motivated and task oriented.
· Good verbal and electronic communication skills.
· Team Oriented
· Familiar with Microsoft work and excel
*Physical Requirements: *
· Lift, carry, push and or pull 1 – 50 lbs.
occasionally.
· Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp, and reach overhead and outward frequently.
· Sit, stand, and walk for 1 – 10 hours per day.
· Work in a fast-paced industrial environment while wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.
48 - $24.
00 per hour
