Essential Functions
(This job posting is not an exhaustive list of the duties performed for the position):
The Director of Athletics is the primary leader of the athletic programming (inter-scholastic and intra-scholastic) associated with Muskegon Catholic Central for grades K to 12.
The athletics director oversees the administration of every element of the sports and athletic programs and is responsible for the athletic program's overall economic and competitive success.
The Director of Athletics is responsible for implementing the MCC Mission and Vision through the sports and athletic programs
Model and foster Christian respect and integrate the Catholic faith and values into athletic and team activities
Ensure that all athletic programs/activities reflect the Catholic mission of the school
Participate in staff retreats, liturgies and prayer services, service programs, and staff formation programs
Collaborate with the Campus Minister in the spiritual formation of all coaches and student-athletes
Create, develop, coordinate, and manage a comprehensive athletic program (K to 12) for Muskegon Catholic Central, in conjunction with the varsity head coaches
Manage all athletic operations of the school throughout the year, including the summer
Provide leadership in selecting, assigning, and evaluating athletic coaches and staff members
Organize, schedule, and supervise all MCC athletic events
Develop and place into effect the appropriate rules and regulations governing the conduct of athletes, coaches, and spectators at athletic events
Manage and sustain the athletic budget and infrastructure
Supervise all ticket sales and fund-raising events of the athletic program and assume responsibility for the proper handling of funds
Collaborate with the Advancement Team on campaigns related to athletics and support other school campaigns/initiatives
